Rev. John Foister grew up in Wilmington, NC where he graduated from Laney HS and attended Ogden Advent Christian Church (Living Waters). He accepted Christ and was baptized at Camp Dixie during a church family camp weekend when he was 13. John accepted the call to Ministry while in High School and attended Berkshire Christian College where he graduated in 1986. While at Berkshire he met and married the Love of his life Lori-Ann. After graduating from Berkshire John and Lori-Ann began their 30+ years of ministry in Clovis, NM with Brent and Glenda Carpenter. John and Lori-Ann have ministered in churches in NM, SC, NC and NH. Lori- Ann Jones Foister grew up in Charlton, MA.  When she was 12 years old, she accepted Christ as her Lord and Savior at Camp Adventure in Alton Bay, New Hampshire. Lori-Ann has a deep love for youth.  She is all about building relationships and encouraging youth to grow in their walk with God. John and Lori-Ann have been married for over 36 years and have 4 grown children (Caleb, Jordan, Tessa and Seth) and 4 grand-children (Maverick, Reilly Dee, Micah and Sterling). John and Lori-Ann have lived in Johnston County for 13 years.

Tessa Thompson

Tessa Thompson grew up in various parts of NC from the foothills of Boone to the beaches in Wilmington. She grew up in various churches with her father (Rev. John Foister) being a pastor and moving where God called him. Tessa was baptized as a young child after VBS one evening at her church. She then rededicated her life to God as a young adult. Her goal as a KidMin leader is to build connections with the kids and parents and provide an engaging environment for the children to learn more about God. Tessa is married to Lance whom she met her senior year of high school. They have two children together, Reilly (9) and Sterling (4) and live in Clayton.
